Use This Ispirational Quote To Make You The Master Of Your Habits!
Here's something important you need to understand about habits:
"Your habits don’t have a conscience."
The fact is...
Your habits don’t care what results you get.
But, they can either keep you in prison or do great work for you.
The concept I share around this is:
Our habits are either lousy masters or great servants - they are a lousy master if they continue to keep us in prison, don’t empower us and stop us from getting what we want. They are a great servant if they enable us, empower us and keep us on track to get what we want.
One thing to keep in mind when it comes to changing our bad habits is to remember Einstein's definition of insanity which is, “when we keep doing the same behaviours over and over again, expecting different results.” And we know that will never happen…
What we also need to keep in mind is that we are all creatures of habit. We all have positive habits and we all have negative habits.
I often say to people, there is no perfect anything on this planet. There is no perfect person. There is no perfect partner. No perfect family… or perfect child. We are all working on something or we should all be working on something. However, and I believe there is a lot of truth in this… a majority of the population are working on nothing. But keep in mind, we are all working on something or we should all be working on something. So, in other words, without a target you have nothing to aim for. A target (when it comes to our habits) is to develop and create empowering habits.
So, today I want to share The Habit Poem with, which I discovered many years ago and I encourage you to internalise the concepts in the poem of what habits can do for us because it's more powerful then you can imagine.
